ABOUT THE CLEMENTE SOCIETY

this respected group of wine lovers have committed to furthering the legacy of roberto clemente.  by purchasing a barrel, members are contributing at least 21% back to the clemente museum to support the museum’s efforts of preservation and education.  In addition, the society seeks meaningful ways to help local charities and organizations who focus on contributing to those in need.

we began making wine in 1992 out of a simple passion for winemaking.  that passion grew into engine house 25 wines 17 years later in 2009.  since then we have been making wines in the cellar of our historic firehouse with grapes harvested from the vines of premium growers around the world.  from south africa, to south america, to california, we take pride in our old-world process and the experiences our society provides its members.

membership

as a member of the society, you can choose between a full or half barrel of wine.  society members are able to choose from all of our available varietals of wine, as well as participate in the wine making process if interested.  your level of involvement in the winemaking process is completely up to you, it is simply a unique benefit exclusive to society members.

ENGINE HOUSE 25 wines pRODUCES CABERNET, ZINFANDEL, SANGIOVESE, MALBEC, GRENACHE, RIESLING AS WELL AS LIMITED-RUN MERLOT AND BARBERA. THESE VARIETALS HAVE BECOME FAVORITES WITH MANY PITTSBURGH RESTAURANTS AND WINE ENTHUSIASTS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY.

members may have access to the wine cellar by reservation.  wines can be shipped anywhere in the country at the members expense.

each barrel membership includes your own custom label design and barrel logo displayed in our wine cellar.  through our years of experience in both graphic design and photography, we are happy to help craft the perfect look for you or your company whether it be a photograph, company logo, or illustration.

if you are looking for something more exceptional, we have built relationships with local printers and craftsman that allow us to offer unique labels, die-cut designs, etched bottles, custom gift bags or boxes, and additional bespoke packaging to tailor your custom wine.
